The Main Panel help

The graphic of the radio spectrum

In the Main Panel field you can see the radio spectral data for any radio source in the cluster. After starting of applet the Main Panel contains the data of first radio source as default in the list of sources for the cluster. You can see the name of current radio source on upper left button and as the title of the graphic.
The red approximational curve on the graphic is drawn as it's described in the Fitting help. All radio spectral points (the measurements of flux densities and their errors) from radio data file are on the graphic. The graphic has ( Y,log(Flux) - X,log(Freq) ) scale.
The supplementary Graphic Info window ( opened together with the Main Panel ) serves for displaying of the spectral information (see The mouse manipulation below). You can reopen the Graphic Info window by pressing Graphic Info button if you have closed this window or shaded it.

Operating of the Main Panel buttons

Top buttons

You can choose the radio source of the cluster by left button.
You can get different possibilities of manipulations with spectral curve using the Fitting menu opened by Fitting button. Details see in Fitting help.
If you want to print graphic you can see the picture to print in the PrintView window that you can open by the Print button. About print options read in the Print help.
Pressing of the Radio emission button opens the window for calculating of radio luminosity and radio power of the source. You can find the details of the calculations in the Luminosity help and in the Power help.

Bottom buttons

You can set any frequency and flux density diapasons after pressing the Graphic scale button that opens scale menu.
The Restore deleted points button returns the deleted points of measurements ( see The mouse manipulation below).
You can remove the fitting curve from the graphic by the Delete curve button. New (old) fitting curve can be drawn via Fitting menu.
New spectrum points can be included with the help of the Add point button.

The mouse manipulations

The mouse pointing at the measurements of the spectrum ( marked by blue plus ) shows the value of flux density at corresponding frequency in the Graphic Info window ( this measurement is typed by magenta color and the plus is marked by the same color).
Pressing of the mouse's button at this measurement deletes/restores this point from all the calculations ( deleted point is marked by red cross ). Note: Pressing of right mouse's button at deleted point makes it invisible.

The mouse moving along fitting curve shows the values of corresponding frequency, flux density and spectral index in the Graphic Info window ( they are typed by red color ).
Pressing of mouse's button at any fitting curve's point fixes the current point of fitting curve using black color and saves corresponding spectral values in the Graphic Info window.
